- The weapon is best used while stationary. For whatever reason, when walking to the left (for example), the laser lags to the right.
- The laser has a penetration factor, but it is unknown how many tubes it can hit.
- It occasionally seems to have less range than stated.
- As a Broadcaster, the Standard Laser does not use a conventional "clip" and instead utilizes a battery that constantly recharges so long as it is not being fired
- Broadcasters have roughly 6.5 seconds of "ammo", and reloading a full battery takes roughly 5 seconds.
- Broadcasters can fire at any point so long as their battery isn't in the red. It takes roughly 2 seconds to reach the red line from a fully empty battery recharge.
